After a year of working with distributors and wholesalers, Chai Mishra quit his job. At the top of his notebook, in bold letters he wrote, "Supermarket of The Future. Day 1"

With that, we started on our journey to build a new food system. One that carried at its heart the concept of access. Its sole purpose would be to make incredible food accessible to everyone.

It's 2018 now. We built that Supermarket. And we're just getting started.

Each of our products is sustainably grown,
crafted by the greatest artisans of the generation, curated by a panel of chefs and taste-tested by at least a thousand people. Just the facts.

The Economics

Radically Low Prices

With Movebutter, you pay less and the producer makes more. At a traditional supermarket, 85% of the money you spend goes to middlemen, marketing and markups.

Instead, we buy food directly from the producers and ship it to your door. That way, we can pay the producer a lot more while getting you fresher products that cost radically less.

Built to Serve
the Underserved.

We donate 1% of profits to NGOs working to bring food to underserved communities. We source exclusively from artisans with a long history of making organic products. We audit each of our products for ecological effect. And, wherever possible, we focus on non-GMO, grassfed and ethically raised food.
